I began quilting in my early twenties.
I was living in San Francisco in the Haight and had a notion to make my nephew a quilt. By cutting up old dresses and scraps lying around I fashioned the first quilt. I had no idea what I was doing.
Over time, a quilt was always on my mind, in design, and sewn.
There are probably a few hundred quilts out there that I either helped develop or made individually.
Every quilt teaches me something new.
The photographs here are not polished.
They just show my efforts.
